Vertical Tote Filling System
The example shown is for the unattended production by virtue of the vertical tote accumulation system, which was developed by UPM and incorporates static removal with air ionisers, CAT 3 safety Pilze relay, short circuit current rating, KA rated and UL listed components, Allen Bradley inverter drives and PLC Control. This allows the system to be completely interfacted to the injection moulding machine.
A UPM auto reject divert flip flap is located in the well of the machine, linked to the control so any change in process parameters reject product to the rear of the press. This allows only acceptable product to be transferred out to the product count for discharge to tote boxes for automatic accumulation. Operating 24/7 with only one operator responsible for multiple machines, these systems have now been exported to USA, Brazil, Mexico, Poland, Germany, India and Russia.
